To clean the , follow these steps:
1. Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool before cleaning.
2. Wipe the kettle and base of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the kettle or power base in water.
3. The kettle has a removable scale filter for clean water. Grasp the filter and pull it upward to remove it.
4. Run the filter under hot water and rub it with a clean cloth or brush to remove any scale or residue.
5. Replace the filter by snapping it back into place.
6. If the interior of the kettle has mineral deposits or discoloration, it may need decalcification. Fill the kettle with enough white vinegar to cover the bottom by about ½ inch.
7. Heat the vinegar to a boil and repeat this process with cooled vinegar until all deposits are removed.
8. Empty the kettle and rinse it out several times with clean water to remove any vinegar residue.
