To wire the niko 353-701111 Motion Detector for flush mounting, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the power supply is turned off before starting the wiring process.
2. Remove the wiring cover on the motion detector to access the terminal blocks.
3. Connect the live wire (usually colored brown or black) from the power supply to the L terminal on the motion detector.
4. Connect the neutral wire (usually colored blue) from the power supply to the N terminal on the motion detector.
5. If you want to use the contact as a dry contact (potential-free), remove the wire connected to the COM terminal.
6. If you want to use the contact as a switched contact, connect the wire from the load (e.g., a light fixture) to the COM terminal.
7. Connect the other end of the load wire to the appropriate terminal on the light fixture.
8. Secure the wiring connections by tightening the terminal screws.
9. Replace the wiring cover on the motion detector.
Please note that it is essential to secure the motion detector with a miniature circuit breaker (MCB) of maximum 16 A in the electrical cabinet. The MCB rating should comply with national installation rules.
