To connect the CXC Compact Disk Transport to your audio system, follow these steps:
1. Determine the type of digital input your audio system has. The CXC offers two digital outputs: TOSLINK optical and S/P DIF coaxial.
2. If your audio system has a TOSLINK optical input, use a high-quality fiber optic interconnect cable designed for audio use to connect the CXC's TOSLINK optical output to the audio system's TOSLINK optical input.
3. If your audio system has an S/P DIF coaxial input, use a high-quality 75-ohm digital RCA interconnect cable (not one designed for normal audio use) to connect the CXC's S/P DIF coaxial output to the audio system's S/P DIF coaxial input.
4. Once you have made the appropriate connections, ensure that all cable connections are secure.
5. Power on the CXC and your audio system.
6. Select the input on your audio system that is connected to the CXC.
7. Check that the volume on your audio system is set to a minimum.
8. Load a disc into the CXC's disc tray by pressing the 'Open/Close' button on the front panel or the remote control.
9. Once the CXC has successfully read the inserted disc, press the 'Play' button on the front panel or the remote control to begin playback.
10. Enjoy high-quality CD playback through your audio system.
Note: If you have other CX Series products, such as the CXN V2 or CXA61/81, you can also connect the CXC to these devices using the Control Bus feature for synchronized power on/off. Refer to the manual for more information on Control Bus connections.
