To install and use the CONCEPTRONIC POR-0311 Gigabit PoE Repeater, please follow these steps:
1. Connect the POR-0311 repeater to your existing PoE switch or injector using an Ethernet cable. Plug one end of the cable into the "POE IN" port on the repeater and the other end into the PoE switch or injector.
2. Connect the device you want to extend the PoE connection to (e.g., IP camera) to the repeater using another Ethernet cable. Plug one end of the cable into the "POE OUT" port on the repeater and the other end into the device.
3. Ensure that the PoE switch or injector is providing power to the POR-0311 repeater. The repeater does not require an additional power supply as it receives power from the PoE switch or injector.
4. Once the connections are made, the repeater will start forwarding the Power over Ethernet (PoE) to the remote device, extending the PoE connection for another 100 meters.
5. If you need to extend the range further, you can daisy chain multiple POR-0311 repeaters. Simply connect the "POE OUT" port of one repeater to the "POE IN" port of another repeater using Ethernet cables. This way, you can extend the PoE network performance up to 200 meters or even more, depending on the required Wattage of the connected devices.
6. The POR-0311 repeater features indicators for "POE IN" and "POE OUT" link status. These indicators will help you verify the connection and ensure proper operation.
7. The repeater is designed for simple plug and play installation. No additional software or configuration is required.
