To connect multiple control panels using the BFt P111468 Board, you will need to follow the instructions provided in the instruction manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Serial Connection of Control Panels via B EBA RS 485 LINK Board:
- Connect the control panels to each other using twisted pair cabling.
- Use three wires related to the B EBA RS 485 LINK interface boards.
- If using a telephone cable with multiple pairs, make sure to use wires from the same pair (A-B).
- The maximum cable length between one module and the next should not exceed 250m.
2. Setting Required for Operation:
- The first control panel in the network should be set as the Master.
- Set the serial mode to 1 and assign an address number to the Master control panel.
- Set DIP1=ON, DIP2=ON, DIP3=ON, DIP4=ON for the Master control panel.
- For the other control panels within the network, set them as Master or Slave accordingly.
- Set DIP1=OFF for Master control panels.
- Set DIP2=OFF, DIP3=OFF, DIP4=OFF for Master control panels.
- For Slave control panels, set the serial mode to 0 and assign an address number.
- Set DIP1=OFF, DIP2=OFF, DIP3=OFF, DIP4=OFF for Slave control panels.
- For the control panel furthest away, set the serial mode to 0 (if Slave) or 1 (if Master) and assign an address number.
- Set DIP1=OFF, DIP2=OFF, DIP3=ON, DIP4=ON for the control panel furthest away.
3. U-Link Serial Connection:
- The B EBA BLUE GATEWAY and B EBA RS 485 GATEWAY modules allow you to connect a supervisor to the local network of compatible BFT U-link devices.
- Use twisted pair cabling to connect the control panels in a U-link serial connection.
- The smallest possible network consists of a single device with address 0 and a B EBA BLUE GATEWAY / B EBA RS 485 GATEWAY module.
4. Wiring Required for Operation:
- Connect the control panels to each other using three wires related to the B EBA RS 485 LINK interface boards.
- Use twisted pair cabling only.
- If using a telephone cable with multiple pairs, use wires from the same pair (A-B).
- The maximum cable length between one module and the next should not exceed 250m.
