To install the side handle on the DEWALT D25481 Heavy Duty Rotary Hammer, follow these steps:
1. Widen the ring opening of the side handle by rotating it anti-clockwise.
2. Place the assembly onto the tool by putting the nose of the tool through the steel ring and onto the collar past the bit holder and sleeve.
3. Rotate the side handle assembly to the desired position. For hammer drilling horizontally with a heavy drill bit, place the side handle assembly at an angle of approximately 20° to the tool for optimum control.
4. Lock the side handle mounting assembly in place by securely tightening the handle rotating it clockwise so that the assembly will not rotate.
Make sure to always operate the tool with the side handle properly installed to reduce the risk of personal injury. Hold the tool with both hands to maximize control.
