To install the Q CELLS Q.PEAK DUO-G6.X Plus Solar Module Series, please follow these guidelines:
1. Read the installation manual carefully and ensure that all guidelines and safety precautions are observed.
2. Choose a suitable installation site that meets the requirements specified in the manual. The site should not be explosive, submerged in water, or in close proximity to flammable gas or air conditioning systems.
3. Prevent shadowing effects by installing the modules in a location that receives optimal solar irradiation and avoids objects that may cause shading.
4. Ensure that the mounting structure meets the necessary structural requirements, complies with local snow and wind loads, and provides sufficient rear ventilation for the modules.
5. Use customary clamps that meet the specified requirements for width, height, depth, and compatibility with the mounting frame. Tighten the clamps according to the manufacturer's instructions.
6. Install the modules using one of the recommended mounting options described in the manual, such as linear mounting, hybrid clamping, installation on mounting points, or installation with insertion profiles. Follow the dimensions and test load specifications provided for each option.
7. Ensure proper electrical layout by selecting modules with matching electric current specifications and considering safety factors for voltage ratings, conductor ampacities, fuse sizes, and controls connected to the PV output.
8. Connect the modules in series up to the maximum system voltage specified in the datasheet. Consider the voltage limit of the inverter when determining the maximum number of modules in a string.
9. Take precautions to limit reverse currents by using a limited number of parallel connected strings or implementing string fuses according to relevant standards. Follow the maximum reverse current load capacity indicated in the datasheet.
10. Follow safety procedures and guidelines for handling, transport, and installation to prevent accidents, injuries, and module damage. Ensure that all personnel involved are aware of and adhere to safety regulations.
11. Ground the modules and any non-current-carrying metal parts of the system to prevent electrical shock or fire. Use grounding lugs or integrated grounding methods approved by UL1703 or UL2703.
12. After installation, conduct necessary safety and functional tests according to applicable standards. Ensure that plug connections are secured and integrated into the existing lightning protection system.
13. Regularly inspect and maintain the PV system, following the recommended time intervals and extent of inspections. Clean the modules if necessary, using lukewarm water or alcohol-based glass cleaner and avoiding abrasive detergents or high-pressure water cleaning equipment.
