To assemble the Gude GHS 520-7 TE Log Splitter, please follow these steps:
1. Start by inspecting the delivered items to ensure that all parts are included.
2. Check the oil level in the hydraulic tank and add hydraulic oil (HLP 46) if necessary.
3. Familiarize yourself with the control elements and operation instructions in the manual.
4. Make sure the log splitter is placed on a flat and stable surface.
5. Connect the log splitter to a 230V/50Hz power source with a safety switch against stray current (RCD max. stray current of 30mA).
6. Ensure that all safety measures, such as wearing suitable protective clothing (sturdy shoes, long trousers, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection), are followed.
7. Before starting work, check the hydraulic lines and hoses for leaks.
8. Check the safety equipment, electrical control elements, power lines, and xxxx couplings for any damage and tighten them appropriately.
9. Make sure the working area is flat, slip-resistant, well-lit, and free from obstacles.
10. Before operating the log splitter, check the proper function of the on/off button and emergency switch.
11. When splitting wood, do not reach into the gap area and keep a safe distance from moving machine parts.
12. In case of a blockage, switch off the machine immediately, disconnect the power plug, and remove the jammed piece of wood.
13. After use, switch off the log splitter, disconnect it from the power source, and allow it to cool down before performing any maintenance or storing it.
14. Regularly check and tighten the hydraulic hoses and connections if necessary.
15. Follow the maintenance instructions in the manual to ensure the log splitter's proper functioning and prevent accidents.
Please refer to the Gude GHS 520-7 TE Log Splitter Instruction Manual for more detailed instructions and safety precautions.
