The installation process for the Generic DC30A Dash Cam Front and Rear is relatively simple. Here are the steps to install it:
1. Start by finding a suitable location for the dash cam. The best position is on the passenger side of the rearview mirror, ensuring it captures most of the road without obstructing the driver's vision.
2. Clean the windshield and the area where you plan to mount the dash cam using a microfiber cloth to ensure a secure attachment.
3. Attach the suction cup mount to the windshield and press firmly to create a strong seal.
4. Connect the dash cam to the mount by sliding it onto the mount until it clicks into place.
5. Route the power cable along the windshield and down to the car's power source. You can hide the cable by tucking it under the car's headliner or using cable clips provided in the package.
6. Connect the power cable to the car charger and plug it into the car's cigarette lighter port or USB port.
7. Adjust the angle of the dash cam to ensure it captures the desired field of view.
8. Turn on the dash cam and adjust the settings according to your preferences.
