To connect your smartphone to the Groview JQ818C projector, you have two options: wired projection and wireless projection.
For wired projection:
1. Connect an iPhone: Select "Miracast" in the signal source menu of the projector. Plug your iPhone's original USB charging cable into the USB1 port of the projector. When prompted on your iPhone, select "Trust this device" to establish the connection. Note that Android devices cannot be connected via a wire, only wirelessly.
For wireless projection:
1. Connect an iPhone:
- Screen Mirroring Connection: Select "Miracast" in the signal source menu of the projector. Search for "Dualcast-***" in the Wi-Fi settings of your iPhone and enter the password "12345678". Open the control center on your iPhone and click "Screen Mirroring" to start the screen sharing.
- Router IP Connection: Long press "OK" on the remote control or on the projector to access the menu. Select your home wireless network and enter the password to connect. Once connected, open the Wi-Fi settings on your iPhone, select the same home wireless network, and enter the password to connect. Open the control center on your iPhone and click "Screen Mirroring" to start the screen sharing.
2. Connect an Android device:
- Select "Miracast" in the signal source menu of the projector. Slide down the phone interface to access the control center, then click on "Wireless Projection" / "Multi-screen" / "Screen sharing" (depending on your phone model). Select the "Dualcast-***" option to start the screen sharing. If you want to use your home Wi-Fi, connect your phone to your home Wi-Fi network before starting the screen sharing.
3. Connect a Windows 10 computer:
- Select "Miracast" in the signal source menu of the projector. Press the "Windows key" + "P" on your laptop, select "Connect to wireless display", and then click "Dualcast-***" to begin the screen sharing. If you want to use your home Wi-Fi, connect your computer to your home Wi-Fi network before starting the screen sharing. Please note that only Windows 10 computers can wirelessly connect to the projector.
