According to the instruction manual provided by KUFATEC, here are the steps to connect the KUFATEC VW Passat B7 Complete Set Active Sound incl. Soundbooster to your car:
1. Connection Ignition Plus:
a. Remove the lateral covering of the car dashboard and the deposition shelf compartment below the light switch.
b. Remove the entering guide rail.
c. Remove the unlocking device of the motor hood by pulling out the fuse.
d. Remove the covering below the steering wheel and disconnect the plug for the leg area lighting.
e. Remove the two screws of the fuse holder and push it through the opening in front of the car dashboard.
f. Pull the ignition cable (red/white) behind the covering of the fuse holder and pin it into the fuse place 21. Protect the free fuse place with a 7.5 Ampere fuse.
2. Connection Cable Set:
a. Connect the ground cable (brown) to the ground spot located below the unlocking device of the motor hood.
b. Remove the air shaft and connect the CAN High (black/white) to PIN 16 and CAN Low (black/yellow) to PIN 6 of the blue plug from the CAN Gateway.
3. Placing the Sensing Device / Laying Cable Set Sound Booster:
a. Place the sensing device cable behind the covering of the deposition shelf compartment and install it.
b. Pull the cable for the Sound Booster up to the B-column.
c. Remove the side bolster, C-column covering, and entering guide rail to continue pulling the cable towards the co-driver's side.
4. Laying Cable Set Sound Booster:
a. Remove the side bolster and pull out the cable for the Sound Booster from the carpet.
b. Remove the covering of the luggage space and the rave rail protection.
c. Remove the covering and tie-down loops.
d. Pull the cable over the wheel case and behind the covering into the luggage space.
5. Installation Sound Booster:
a. Remove the covering at the indicated position.
b. Connect the cable to the Sound Booster and install it with suitable screws and xxxx nuts.
