To install and set up the LevelOne POR-1321 2 Port Gigabit PoE Repeater, please follow these steps:
1. Mounting: Use the included mounting kit to securely mount the repeater in a suitable location. Ensure that the repeater is protected from harsh weather conditions.
2. Connection: Connect the Power Sending Equipment (PSE), such as a PoE-PlusPlus switch, to the "IN" port of the repeater using an Ethernet cable. This port accepts both power and data for the first 100 meters.
3. Device Connection: Connect the device you want to extend the PoE connection to the "OUT" port of the repeater using an Ethernet cable. This port provides both power and data for the device. If you have a non-PoE device that only requires data, connect it to the other "OUT" port.
4. Daisy Chaining: If you need to extend the range further, you can daisy chain multiple POR-1321 repeaters. Connect the "OUT" port of the first repeater to the "IN" port of the next repeater using an Ethernet cable. Repeat this process for each additional repeater.
5. Power: The POR-1321 receives power from the PSE, so no additional power supply is required. Ensure that the PSE is providing sufficient power to support the connected devices.
6. LED Indicators: The repeater has LED indicators for Power, PoE In, and PoE Out. These indicators provide visual feedback on the status of the repeater and the PoE connection.
7. Configuration: The POR-1321 is a plug and play device, so no additional configuration is required. Once the connections are made, the repeater will automatically forward the Power over Ethernet (PoE) to the remote device.
