To install the CLEANLIFE CL-CLP-30-24 Majestic Mirror 30W LED Driver Retrofit Kit, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the power: Before starting the installation, make sure to turn off the power to the mirror by unplugging the AC power cord from the wall outlet. If the mirror is hardwired, turn off the breaker powering the mirror and lock it out during installation.
2. Disconnect existing connections: Disconnect the AC power cord from the AC inputs on the existing driver (black & white wires). Loosen the ground xxxx and detach the ground wire from the driver. Reattach the ground wire from the AC power cable to the mirror chassis.
3. Disconnect DC output wires: Cut off the crimp connectors to disconnect the DC output wires on the driver from the wires in the mirror that run to the sockets/lights. Take note of the wire colors in the mirror that are connected to the positive (red) and negative (black) DC output leads on the driver.
4. Remove the old driver: Once the wires are disconnected, remove the old driver from the mirror housing.
5. Install the new driver: Remove the backing from the adhesive tape on the back of the new driver and place it in the same orientation as the old one on the mirror chassis. Secure the driver to the mirror housing using the existing xxxx or included self-tapping screws. If the mounting holes do not line up, use the included self-drilling screws.
6. Connect the wires: Connect the wires from the sockets/lights to the DC output wires from the driver, ensuring the correct polarity (negative to negative and positive to positive). Connect the wires from the sockets/lights that were previously connected to the black/negative wire from the original driver to the black/negative wire on the new driver. Repeat the process for the positive/red output wire.
7. Connect the AC input wires: Connect the AC input wires on the driver to the AC power cable that supplies power to the mirror. Connect the white (neutral wire) from the AC power cable to the blue wire on the driver and connect the black (line wire) from the AC power cable to the brown wire on the driver. Use the existing Wago connectors for these connections.
8. Restore power: Plug the AC power cable back into the outlet. If the mirror is hardwired, remove the lockout from the breaker/switch and turn the power back on. Verify that all lights in the mirror are lit.
