To connect and set up the LevelOne FEP-0811W250 8-Port Fast Ethernet PoE Switch, follow these steps:
1. Power off all devices connected to the switch and unplug their power cords.
2. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the LAN port of your modem or router.
3. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the WAN port (Port 1) of the LevelOne switch.
4. Connect your PoE devices (such as IP cameras or wireless access points) to the PoE ports (Port 2 to Port 8) of the LevelOne switch using Ethernet cables.
5. Plug in the power cord of the LevelOne switch to a power outlet.
6. Power on your modem or router and wait for it to establish a connection.
7. Power on the LevelOne switch.
8. Wait for the switch to boot up. The Power, Active, 10/100M, and PoE indicators on the front panel should light up.
9. Once the switch is powered on and all devices are connected, they should start communicating and receiving power.
Note: The LevelOne FEP-0811W250 switch is an unmanaged switch, which means it does not require any configuration. It will automatically detect and provide power to any connected PoE devices.
