To install the LUMASCAPE LS9407LED Vedita Ceiling Cavity Mount Downlight Luminaire, please follow the instructions provided in the manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Use a Lumascape supplied 24 V DC ripple-free power supply or transformer. Install it centrally in relation to the luminaires. Note that 24 V DC power supplies should be installed in a well-ventilated, fully under cover environment. Do not use an electronic transformer as it may permanently damage the luminaire.
2. Mark the actual locations of the luminaires to be installed. Use the charts provided in the manual to calculate the cable size for each run, including all luminaires to be connected. Use the same chart to select the power supply.
3. Mark the locations of the luminaires and use the holesaw supplied to drill a hole in the ceiling or cavity wall.
4. Fold the legs up on the ceiling clip and insert it into the hole. Feed the LS9407LED cable through the mounting clip and connect it to the power supply as per the instructions supplied with the luminaire. Test the connection.
5. Lay the cable from the power supply/transformer for each cable run. If dimming is required, four conductors will be needed. For non-dimmed installations, only two conductors are required. The dimming circuit can use 1 mm cable.
6. Connect the luminaire to the supply cable using the wire nuts supplied. Ensure that any joint is dry and watertight to avoid voiding the warranty. If dimming is not required, do not connect the orange and grey wires. Seal and keep them dry.
7. Switch on the power and check that each luminaire is operating.
8. Press the LS9407LED fully into the mounting clip.
Please refer to the wiring diagram in the manual for further details on connecting the wires. It is important to follow the instructions carefully to ensure proper installation and avoid any damage to the luminaire.
