To connect the MartinLogan Motion 30 Center Channel Speaker to your amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Turn off your amplifier before making any signal connections.
2. Use high-quality speaker cables for optimal sound. Avoid using wires with a gauge higher (thinner) than #16. Longer cable lengths may require a lower gauge for better sound quality.
3. Connect the speaker cables to the signal input terminals on the rear electronics panel of the speaker. Use spade connectors for optimum contact and ease of installation.
4. Hand tighten the binding posts on the speaker, but do not overtighten. Avoid using tools to tighten the binding posts.
5. Be consistent when connecting the speaker cables to the signal input terminals. Assign the same color cable lead to the (+) terminal on both the left and right channel speakers.
6. If you experience a lack of bass or a lack of a tight, coherent sound image, you may need to reverse the (+) and (-) leads on one speaker to ensure proper polarity.
