To install and use the POR-1100 Outdoor PoE Repeater, please follow these steps:
1. Determine the location: Choose a suitable location for the repeater, preferably outdoors, where it can receive a strong PoE signal and extend the network range effectively.
2. Connect the repeater: Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the PoE switch or Power Sending Equipment (PSE), and the other end to the "PoE In" port on the POR-1100 repeater.
3. Connect the remote device: Connect another Ethernet cable from the "PoE Out" port on the repeater to the remote device (e.g., IP camera, wireless access point) that requires extended PoE connectivity.
4. Power on the system: Ensure that the PoE switch or PSE is powered on. The POR-1100 repeater will receive power from the PSE, eliminating the need for an additional power supply.
5. Check the LED indicators: The POR-1100 repeater features LED indicators to provide status information. Check the LED lights to ensure that the repeater is receiving power and functioning properly.
6. Test the connection: Verify that the remote device is receiving power and network connectivity by checking its status or accessing it through the network.
Note: The POR-1100 repeater is designed for Plug and Play installation, so no additional configuration or software is required. It is weatherproof with an IP65-rated housing, making it suitable for outdoor use.
