To properly install the GKOLED GKOWPG Large Full Cutoff Wall Pack, please follow the instructions provided in the installation guide. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Read all instructions before attempting installation to prevent personal injury or product damage. Only licensed electricians should install the product.
2. Disconnect power before installation or servicing to avoid electric shock or component damage.
3. Install the product in accordance with the national electric code (NEC) and all applicable federal, state, and local electric codes and safety standards.
4. Disconnect the product and allow it to cool before servicing.
5. Do not alter or modify the product, as it may cause serious personal injury, death, property damage, and/or product malfunction.
6. Ensure proper grounding of the product to prevent product malfunction and electrical shock.
7. The luminaire is designed to operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -40°F to 113°F (-40°C to 45°C) and should be horizontally mounted with the LEDs facing down.
8. The product is suitable for wall mount only and should not be used in special environments with corrosive gas liquids or high-pressure water vapor.
Junction Box Mounting:
1. Loosen screws and carefully remove the front lens set from the back plate.
2. Drill appropriate knockouts for wiring, supporting standard 3 1/4'' and 4'' junction boxes.
3. Attach the back plate on the wall, using the supplied gaskets for a weather-tight seal.
4. Finish wiring (Black for Line, White for Neutral, and Yellow Green for Ground).
5. Replace the lens set on the hinges, make connections, and close the lens set. Then, tighten the screws.
Conduit Mounting:
1. Loosen screws and carefully remove the front lens set from the back plate.
2. Remove the 1/2” plug from the intended conduit entry point.
3. Drill out the holes to secure the fixture on the wall with proper screws.
4. Finish wiring (Black for Line, White for Neutral, and Yellow Green for Ground).
5. Replace the lens set on the hinges, make connections, and close the lens set. Then, tighten the screws.
To ensure a waterproof seal, use Teflon tape on the threads at the conduit entry point to prevent water entry. Apply weatherproof silicone sealant around the edge of the wall mounting box and/or junction box, especially on an uneven wall surface. Seal all plugs and unused conduit entries with silicone.
For photocell installation, follow the provided diagram and use a photocell rated for your supply voltage. Troubleshooting tips include checking the line voltage, proper grounding, and ensuring the photocell is functioning correctly.
