To connect your Sony VPL-BW5 Home Theater Projector to your devices, follow these steps:
1. Power off all devices (projector, source devices, and audio equipment) before making any connections.
2. Connect the projector to your video source using one of the following methods:
- HDMI Connection: Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI output port on your video source device (e.g., Blu-ray player, gaming console) and the other end to the HDMI input port on the projector.
- Component Video Connection: Connect the component video output of your video source device (using the appropriate cables) to the component video input ports (Y, Pb/Cb, Pr/Cr) on the projector. Additionally, connect the audio output of your video source device to the audio input ports on the projector using the appropriate cables.
- Composite Video Connection: Connect the composite video output of your video source device to the composite video input port on the projector. Additionally, connect the audio output of your video source device to the audio input ports on the projector using the appropriate cables.
3. If you have additional audio equipment, such as a soundbar or AV receiver, you can connect it to the projector for enhanced audio. Connect the audio output ports on the projector to the corresponding audio input ports on your audio equipment using the appropriate cables.
4. Once all connections are made, power on your devices in the following order: video source device, audio equipment (if applicable), and finally, the projector.
5. Use the projector's remote control to select the appropriate input source. Press the "INPUT" button on the remote control to cycle through the available input sources until you see the video from your connected device.
