3. The appliance is intended for household use only and should not be used outside or for any other domestic, commercial, or industrial purposes.
4. Keep the manual in a safe place and pass it on to anyone who may use the appliance after you.
5. Inspect the appliance and installation fittings for any damage as soon as you remove them from the packaging. Do not use sharp knives to open the packaging.
6. If the appliance is damaged, do not install it and inform Novy.
7. Novy is not liable for any damage resulting from incorrect assembly, connection, use, or operation.
8. Do not convert or alter the appliance.
9. Wear protective gloves during installation as metal parts may have sharp edges.
10. Carefully read the safety and installation instructions of the kit and the built-in unit before installing and using it.
11. Ensure that the wall where the motor unit will be installed has sufficient load-bearing capacity.
12. The motor unit must be installed indoors.
13. The installation and electrical connection should only be carried out by an authorized specialist.
14. Make sure the cooker hood is disconnected from the power supply before performing any electrical adjustments.
15. Cut the motor cable located between the built-in unit and the motor unit at the level of the sticker. Remove 37 mm of cable insulation from both ends of the cut motor cable.
16. Cut off the red wire and 2 white filler wires from the loose wire ends up to the cable insulation.
17. Strip the wire insulation of the remaining wires by 8 mm using a stripping tool.
18. Apply the wire end ferrules to all wires and fix them with a plier. Note that the larger end ferrule is reserved for the yellow/green wire.
19. Connect the supplied connectors to the wires. Fit the Female connector to the cable coming from the built-in unit and fit the Male connector to the cable leading to the motor unit.
20. Position the wires and xxxx them on as shown in the provided drawing.
21. Close the covers of the connectors and xxxx them on securely. This also acts as a strain relief for the cables.
22. Connect the extension cable (990396) to the connectors of the built-in unit and the motor unit.
23. Uninstall the motor unit from the built-in unit by opening the bottom plate and removing the grease filter. If a recirculation filter is present, remove it as well.
24. Loosen the screws located next to the protective grid to disconnect the motor unit from the cooker hood.
25. xxxx the flange plate onto the motor unit using the supplied screws.
26. Stick the supplied insulating strip on the underside of the other flange plate and xxxx it to the built-in unit using the supplied screws.
27. Determine the desired place to hang the motor unit. If needed, the exhaust direction can be changed by removing screws from the motor cover and turning it a quarter turn. Attach the suspension brackets onto the motor unit using the original screws.
28. Install the built-in unit in the recess as described in the installation instructions.
29. Install the motor unit onto the wall using the supplied screws and plugs if necessary. The supply and exhaust pipes can be made in a 90° angle or in a straight line.
30. Use a duct of Ø150 mm between the built-in unit and the motor unit for all hood models. Attach the exhaust duct to the flange plate on the built-in unit and the motor unit using a hose clamp or aluminum tape.
31. Connect the supplied cable (990396) between the built-in unit and the motor unit using the connectors. The length of this cable is 5 m, but an extra extension cable (7000094) can be ordered for a total cable length of 10 m.
32. Mount the strain reliefs on the two connector connections.
33. Place the grease filter and, if applicable, the recirculation filter in the cooker hood. Ensure they are fitted and locked properly. Close the bottom panel.
34. Restore the power supply, and the cooker hood is ready for use.
