To connect the TRIPP-LITE U444-2DP-MST4K6 USB-C Dual Display MST Adapter to your computer and displays, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your computer has a USB Type-C port that supports DP 1.4 Alt Mode. This is necessary to achieve the maximum resolutions and features of the adapter.
2. Connect the USB Type-C male end of the adapter to the USB Type-C port on your computer.
3. Connect one end of a DisplayPort cable to one of the DisplayPort female outputs on the adapter.
4. Connect the other end of the DisplayPort cable to the DisplayPort input on your first display.
5. If you want to connect a second display, repeat steps 3 and 4 with another DisplayPort cable and your second display.
6. Once all connections are made, power on your computer and displays.
7. Depending on your operating system, you may need to adjust the display settings to enable and configure the dual display setup. Please refer to your computer's operating system documentation for instructions on how to do this.
Note: The adapter supports different display modes depending on the operating system. With a Windows operating system, you can achieve dual 4K @ 60 Hz output with different content on each display in MST mode. With a Mac OS system, you can achieve dual 4K @ 60 Hz output with the same content in SST mode.
