To install the XTC POWER PRODUCTS Polaris RZR Self-Canceling Turn Signal System, please follow the instructions provided in the instruction manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Remove the hood and dash cover by removing the four Torx screws.
2. Mount the Control Module under the dash on the dash support cross bar using the supplied self-tapping xxxx .
3. Plug the Rear Harness into the OEM Ride Command 8-pin Connector. Unplug the wire harness at the rear left side and connect the XTC harness inline. Plug the XTC harness's 4-pin connector into the center brake light. If your RZR does not have a third brake light, you can add one or secure the harness under the rear using zip ties.
4. Run the Rear Harness from the rear to the control module. Remove the seats and center plastic console. Starting at the rear, run the long harness with the single 4-pin connector through the center of the car up the outside of the firewall through the rubber grommet to the control module. Secure the cable using the supplied cable ties, making sure to keep the harness away from any hot or moving parts.
5. Install the two front LED lights. Drill 5/8" or 3/4" holes in the front corners. If not using the rubber grommet, remove the rubber grommets from the LED lights and insert them into the holes. Insert the LEDs into the grommets with the mark "TOP" on the lens facing up.
6. Run the short front harness through the rubber grommet to the control module and plug it in. Run the green wire to the right (passenger) side and connect it to the black wire, and connect the white wire to the white wire. Run the yellow wire harness to the left (driver's) side, connecting the yellow wire to the black wire and the white wire to the white wire. Note that the black wire is positive and will not work if reversed, while the white wire is ground. Secure the harness using the provided cable ties.
7. Install the Turn and Horn/Hazard Switch. The switches can be mounted in different places on the dash. Use a new box knife or sharp tool to cut out the two rectangles on the driver's left side. Push the switch wires through the cutouts, apply grease, attach the switches, and install them in the dash.
8. Mount the Billet Turn Handle. Run the billet handle wire from inside the dash to the steering wheel. Remove the xxxx that holds the steering wheel tilt lever and discard the removed hardware. Install the lever bolt through the removed bolt hole, ensuring that the new bushing is in the center, and secure it with the included nut. Line up the switch housing and tighten the mounting nut. Secure the wire harness with the included cable ties.
9. Unplug the Connector from the rear of the Instrument Cluster. Remove the Connector Lock by pushing in on both sides of the white connector with a small screwdriver and sliding the lock off.
10. Remove the Plugs from wire ports 6 and 7 using needle-nose pliers. Insert the green wire terminal into port 6 and the yellow wire terminal into port 7.
11. Install the Horn. Attach the included horn bracket onto the horn. Remove the Torx xxxx that holds the body and mount the horn, bending the bracket if necessary to fit under the hood. Attach the purple and black wires to the horn terminals.
12. Run the power wire through the grommet and attach the red wire to the left accessory stud under the hood. Ground the black wire to the center shown above right.
13. Verify Operation. The system uses momentary switches to activate. Push up on the lever for right turn or down for left turn. You can cancel the signal at any time by pushing the activated lever a second time, or it will automatically cancel after a certain duration depending on the situation (1 second for lane change, 2 seconds for slowing to turn corners, and 5 seconds for traffic lights when stopping and waiting). The system's automatic self-canceling feature can be overridden or shut off by pushing the activated switch. The hazard lights can be activated and deactivated by pressing the hazard switch.
14. Secure the harness completely using the provided cable ties. Reinstall any removed parts and reconnect the battery.
