To install the MAYFAIR 050241 Elora 7 Light Rectangle Pendant, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the luminaire is assembled and installed by a licensed electrician, as stated in the manual. All wiring and installation must adhere to the latest local and national wiring rules.
2. Select a suitable location for installation. The luminaire is suitable for indoor use only. The mounting point must support 2 times the weight of the luminaire. Ensure that it is not installed in direct line of an air vent/system.
3. If installing in an area prone to moisture, ensure proper ventilation and use an appropriately rated exhaust fan if necessary. Moisture damage or corrosion is not covered under warranty.
4. Lay out all the components on a smooth surface and ensure that no components are missing before assembling. If any parts are missing, return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection or replacement.
5. Check for any damage during transport. Do not install or operate any product that appears damaged. Return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection, repair, or replacement.
6. Ensure that power to the circuit you are working on has been switched OFF before commencing any electrical work.
7. As the luminaire is heavy, two people will be required to lift it during the installation process.
8. Remove all packaging material from the product and be careful not to throw away any hidden accessories. If assembly is required, place the luminaire on a smooth non-scratch surface.
9. Remove the mounting bracket from the canopy by loosening the nuts.
10. Use the mounting bracket as a template to mark the xxxx positions on the ceiling.
11. Install the required lengths of suspension rod onto the body of the luminaire, ensuring to remove any slack in the cord. Take care not to cross-thread or damage the cord.
12. Install the canopy onto the top suspension rod and secure it with the nut, flat washer, and earth point. Ensure the washers, earth ring, lock washer, and nut are installed in the correct sequence.
13. Install the safety lanyard onto the mounting bracket by loosening the xxxx , attaching it securely, and tightening the xxxx .
14. Install the mounting bracket onto the ceiling using appropriate mounting screws, flat washers, and anchors suitable for the mounting surface and environment.
15. Connect all the earth wires from the mounting bracket, canopy, and safety lanyard together to the single xxxx cable connector.
16. Connect the luminaire wires and the mains supply wire to the terminal block. Ensure the wires are secure and no bare wires are exposed. Follow the color coding mentioned in the manual for the earth, neutral, and live wires.
17. Install the canopy onto the mounting bracket and secure it by tightening the nuts.
18. Install the required globes into the lamp holders, making sure not to exceed the maximum wattage rating.
19. Install the panels onto the luminaire, securing them with washers and nuts. Take care not to overtighten and damage the panels.
20. After installation, switch on the luminaire to test and enjoy your new lighting product.
