According to the instruction manual, it is recommended to test the Alecto SA-31 smoke detectors weekly using the test button on the detectors. To test the detectors, simply hold the test key for at least 2 seconds. The operation is still correct if you hear 2 or 3 signal tones. If you hold the test key longer, the registered smoke detectors will also give an alert. It is important to regularly test the detectors to ensure they are functioning properly and to familiarize yourself with the sound they produce in case of an emergency.
