To connect the Electrovoice FRI-2082 speaker to your audio system, you will need to follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your audio system is turned off and unplugged from the power source.
2. Locate the barrier strip connector on the back of the FRI-2082 speaker. This is where you will connect your speaker wires.
3. Strip the insulation from the ends of your speaker wires to expose the bare wire.
4. Insert the bare wire into the appropriate terminal on the barrier strip connector. The positive (+) terminal is typically marked with a red color or a "+" symbol, while the negative (-) terminal is usually marked with a black color or a "-" symbol. Make sure to match the polarity correctly.
5. Tighten the terminal screws to secure the speaker wires in place. Ensure that there is a secure connection and that no stray wires are touching each other.
6. Repeat the above steps for the other speaker if you are connecting a stereo system.
7. Once the speaker wires are securely connected, you can now connect the other end of the wires to your audio system. Follow the instructions provided by your audio system's manual to connect the speakers to the appropriate speaker outputs.
8. Double-check all connections to ensure they are secure and properly matched.
9. After confirming all connections, you can now plug in and turn on your audio system.
Please note that the Electrovoice FRI-2082 speaker is a passive speaker, which means it requires a separate amplifier or receiver to power it.
