To connect your KLH Concord 5.1 Complete System with KLH Stratton 10 Powered Subwoofer, follow these steps:
1. Start by unpacking the speakers and subwoofer from the packaging, making sure to remove all the packing material.
2. Place the speakers in your desired location, ensuring they are at least 6 feet apart for optimal stereo or home theater experience.
3. If you are using the metal spiked feet, thread the ridged discs onto the spikes until flush. Then, thread both the spikes and discs into the inserts at the bottom corners of the speaker plinths. Adjust the height of the speakers by turning the spike section.
4. If you prefer to use the rubber feet, simply attach them to the bottom of the speakers.
5. Connect your floor-standing speakers to your amplifier or receiver using quality speaker cables. The speakers have nickel-plated binding posts that can accommodate stripped wire, spade connectors, or banana plugs. Make sure to use up to 12 gauge (AWG) speaker cables for optimal performance.
6. If you are using conventional amplification, connect the positive wire (+) to the red binding post and the negative wire (-) to the black binding post on each speaker.
7. If you prefer to bi-amplify your speakers using two separate two-channel amplifiers, remove the terminal straps on the binding posts. Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) cables from one amplifier to the top terminals of each speaker, and repeat the same steps for the second amplifier and bottom terminals.
8. For the powered subwoofer, connect the subwoofer output on your amplifier or receiver to the input on the subwoofer using an RCA cable.
9. Finally, plug in all the components to a power source and turn on your system. Make sure to adjust the volume and settings on your amplifier or receiver to achieve the desired sound.
