To install the BOYO VTC175M backup camera system in your vehicle, follow these steps:
1. Mount the camera: Choose a suitable location on the rear of your vehicle to mount the camera. The ideal location is the center of the car, such as the rear bumper or above the rear doors. Ensure that the camera is securely mounted.
2. Connect the camera: Connect the camera's video cable to the video input of the monitor. The video cable may have an additional red wire for power. If power is available from the reverse lights at the back of your vehicle, you can connect the red wire to bring power from the back to the front.
3. Connect the monitor: Connect the monitor to a power source using the provided power supply. The monitor should be connected to a 12VDC power supply. You can also connect the reverse trigger wire to the appropriate wire in your vehicle's wiring system to activate the monitor when the car is in reverse.
4. Adjust the camera angle: If necessary, adjust the camera's angle to ensure a clear view. Some backup cameras may have a lens or housing that can be changed, allowing you to adjust the camera's angle. Refer to the manual for specific instructions on adjusting the camera.
5. Test the system: Once the installation is complete, test the system by putting your car in reverse. The backup camera should automatically turn on, and you should see the image on the monitor. If needed, you can also adjust the settings on the monitor, such as selecting reverse/non-reverse image or turning on/off parking grid lines.
