To reset your HP Sprocket Select printer, you have two options: a hardware reset and a factory reset.
1. Hardware Reset:
- Remove the Paper Cover of the printer.
- Locate the small round button near the Paper Tray.
- Press and hold the small round button until the printer turns off.
- The printer will automatically restart.
Note: Performing a hardware reset will not erase your personalized settings such as Custom Name and Personal Color.
2. Factory Reset:
- Make sure the USB charging cable is NOT connected to the printer.
- Hold the power button for about 7 seconds. After 3 seconds, the Status LED light will turn off to indicate the printer is shutting down. Continue to hold the Power button until the LED lights start to flash.
- Release the power button. The LEDs will continue blinking for about 6 seconds.
- While the LEDs are blinking, press and release the power button. The device will remain off until you power it on again.
- Power on the printer, and it will be reset to factory settings.
Note: After a factory reset, all settings will be reset to factory defaults, including Custom Name, LED color, Sleep Time, Auto-Off, etc. If you don't want to reset the printer to factory defaults, you can abandon the reset by not pressing the Power button as directed in step three above.
Remember to "forget" your device in your operating system's Paired Devices list if you want to pair again with your device after a Factory Reset. Then, re-pair in the sprocket app.
