To install the BLACK+DECKER BPP10WTB 14000-BTU Portable Air Conditioner, follow these steps:
1. Choose a location: Place the air conditioner on a firm, level surface near a properly rated grounded socket. Make sure there is at least 12 inches of space around the unit for proper airflow.
2. Window Slider Kit Installation: Depending on your window type, follow the instructions in the manual to install the window slider kit. This kit is designed to fit most standard vertical and horizontal windows. Adjust the length of the window slider kit according to your window width or height and secure it with the provided locking screws.
3. Exhaust Hose Installation: Connect the hose inlet to one end of the air exhaust hose and the hose outlet to the other end. Thread them on in a clockwise direction. Align the tabs on the hose inlet with the slots over the air outlet and insert and push down.
4. Connect the hose outlet to the window panel: Insert the hose outlet into the window panel and affix it to the window slider kit to seal it.
5. Plug in the unit: Plug the air conditioner into a properly grounded electrical outlet.
6. Turn on the unit: Press the power button on the control panel or the remote control to turn on the air conditioner. Select the desired mode (cool, dehumidify, fan, or heat) and adjust the temperature and fan speed as needed.
