To install the BLACK+DECKER BPP06WTB 10000-BTU Portable Air Conditioner, follow these steps:
1. Choose a location: Place the air conditioner on a firm, level surface near a properly rated grounded socket. Ensure there is at least 12 inches of space around the unit for proper airflow.
2. Window Slider Kit Installation: Use the provided window slider kit to fit your window. Cut the foam seal to the proper length and attach it to the window sash. Attach the window slider kit to the window sash and secure it. Close the window securely against the window slider kit.
3. Exhaust Hose Installation: Connect the hose inlet to one end of the air exhaust hose and the hose outlet to the other end. Align the tabs on the hose inlet with the slots over the air outlet and insert and push down. Insert the hose outlet into the window panel and affix it to the window slider kit.
4. Plug in and Turn on: Plug the air conditioner into a dedicated electrical outlet. Press the power button to turn on the unit. Select the desired mode (cool, dehumidify, fan, or heat) using the mode button. Adjust the temperature and fan speed as needed.
