3. For Direct Load Control (DLC) connection:
- Connect one black load wire from the thermostat to one of the line wires from the heating unit.
- Connect the other black load wire from the thermostat to the other line wire from the heating unit.
- Connect the red line wire from the thermostat (L1) to the L1 line from the supply panel.
- Connect the other red line wire from the thermostat (L2) to the L2 line from the supply panel.
4. For Contactor Control connection:
- Use two 16AWG wires (not included) to Terminal A inside the heater.
- Connect one red line wire from the thermostat to one 16AWG line wire from Terminal A.
- Connect the black load wire from the thermostat to the other 16AWG line wire from Terminal A.
- Affix the other line wires from the thermostat with insulating tape.
5. Ensure all connections are secured and there is no exposed wiring.
6. Insert the wires into the junction box, being careful not to damage the wiring.
7. Secure the ground wire to the ground xxxx provided in the junction box.
8. Remove the thermostat cover by grabbing it from the sides and pulling it away from the base.
9. Mount the thermostat into the junction box and secure it using the provided screws.
