To set up the Sonos Playbase with your TV, follow these steps:
1. Choose a location for the Playbase that is either under your TV or on a shelf. Make sure it is securely placed and can support the weight of your TV.
2. Connect the Playbase to your TV using the supplied TOSLINK optical audio cable. Plug one end of the cable into the digital audio output on your TV and the other end into the digital audio input on the Playbase. Make sure the cable is properly aligned and inserted.
3. Connect the power cord to the Playbase and plug it into a power outlet. Ensure that the power cord is firmly inserted into the Playbase.
4. Turn on your TV and go to the audio settings. Disable the TV speakers and set the audio output to the digital audio output that is connected to the Playbase.
5. Download the Sonos app on your compatible device (iOS, Android, PC, or Mac) and open it.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions in the Sonos app to add the Playbase to your Sonos system. This may involve connecting the Playbase to your home network and registering the device.
7. Once the Playbase is added to your Sonos system, you can use the Sonos app to control the audio playback and adjust settings.
Note: If you have additional Sonos speakers, such as a Sonos Sub or surround speakers, you can also set them up and connect them to the Playbase for a more immersive sound experience. Refer to the Sonos app or the user guide for instructions on how to add and configure these additional speakers.
