To connect your microphone to the Wharfedale Pro SL424USB mixer, follow these steps:
1. Locate the microphone input channels on the front panel of the mixer. These are labeled as Channels 1-4.
2. Use a balanced XLR cable to connect your microphone to one of the XLR inputs on the mixer. The XLR connector on your microphone should be plugged into the XLR input on the mixer.
3. Set the GAIN control for the corresponding channel to the minimum position (all the way down).
4. Adjust the level of your microphone by slowly turning up the GAIN control while speaking into the microphone. Watch the metering on the mixer to ensure that the signal level is not clipping (the CLIP LED should only flicker).
5. Use the EQ controls (High, Mid, Low) on the channel to adjust the tone of your microphone if needed.
6. If phantom power is required for your microphone (e.g., condenser microphones), make sure to enable the +48V switch on the mixer.
7. Repeat these steps for each microphone you want to connect to the mixer.
