To clean the WMF Lono 1.3L Double Walled Kettle, follow these steps:
1. Remove the mains plug and allow the device to cool down.
2. Do not immerse the device in water. Instead, clean it with a damp cloth using a little washing-up fluid.
3. Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
4. If rust spots appear on the stainless steel surface, remove them immediately with a stainless steel cleanser.
5. The strainer insert in the pour spout can be removed for cleaning when the lid is open. Press the upper clip of the strainer upward to remove it.
6. When inserting the strainer back, place it in the middle of the base and snap it forward into place.
7. Regularly descale the kettle using a high-quality commercial descaling agent according to the manufacturer's instructions.
8. After descaling, clean the kettle with clear water to remove any residue from the descaling agent.
9. Do not use descaling agents that are unsuitable for your appliance, such as substances based purely on vinegar or citric acid.
10. Keep descaling agents out of reach of children and avoid inhaling any steam given off during descaling.
