To install the Dynojet Power Commander 6 on your Ducati Hypermotard 796, please follow the steps below:
1. Turn off the ignition before starting the installation.
2. Remove the seat and the side panels surrounding the fuel tank.
3. Place the Power Commander 6 near the battery and route the harness down the left-hand side of the bike.
4. Continue routing the Power Commander 6 harness along the left-hand frame rail.
5. Route the harness branch with the pair of leads that have ORANGE colored wires to the right side of the bike following the frame cross member.
6. Unplug the stock wiring harness from the rear fuel injector located on the left-hand side of the bike. Plug the pair of Power Commander 6 leads with YELLOW colored wires in-line of the rear fuel injector and the stock wiring harness.
7. Unplug the stock wiring harness from the front fuel injector located on the right-hand side of the bike. Plug the pair of Power Commander 6 leads with ORANGE colored wires in-line of the front fuel injector and the stock wiring harness.
8. Locate the stock Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) on the left side of the throttle bodies. Cut a 1-inch slit in the sheathing for the stock TPS wiring harness to access the internal wires. Using the supplied posi-tap, attach the Power Commander 6 GREY wire to the stock ORANGE wire of the bike's TPS.
9. Attach the ground wire from the Power Commander 6 harness with the small ring lug to the negative (-) terminal of the bike's battery.
10. Install the Power Commander 6 to the side of the battery using the supplied Velcro or the stock battery strap. Clean both surfaces with the alcohol swab before attaching.
11. Reassemble the bike.
