To install the ThermoTec Inverpro Pool Pump, follow these steps:
1. Pump Location:
- Install the pump as close to the pool as possible to reduce friction loss and improve efficiency.
- Place the pump indoors or in the shade to avoid direct sunshine, heat, or rain.
- Ensure the pump and motor are at least 150mm away from obstacles for proper cooling.
2. Piping:
- Use a pipe with a size of 63mm for optimal pool plumbing.
- Use special sealant for PVC material when installing the inlet and outlet fittings.
- The suction line should be the same size or larger than the inlet line diameter to avoid air suction.
- Keep the plumbing on the suction side as short as possible.
- Install valves on both the pump suction and return lines for convenient maintenance.
- Use a check valve in the outlet piping system to prevent water hammer.
3. Valves and Fittings:
- Elbows should be no closer than 350mm to the inlet. Do not install 90° elbows directly into the pump inlet/outlet.
- Ensure tight joints and proper sizing of fittings.
- Use the appropriate union size for the pump inlet/outlet (metric or imperial).
4. Check before Initial Startup:
- Check if the pump shaft rotates freely.
- Verify that the power supply voltage and frequency match the nameplate.
- Ensure the motor rotation direction is clockwise when facing the fan blade.
- Never run the pump without water.
