To install the BANSA ROSE DHMTT2022090202 52 Inch Sand Nickel 5 Leaf Ceiling Fan, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that installation work and electrical wiring are done by qualified individuals in accordance with all applicable codes and standards.
2. Before starting the installation or servicing the fan, turn off the electricity at the main fuse box or circuit panel.
3. Select a location for the fan that allows clear space for the blades to rotate and at least seven (7) feet of clearance between the floor and the fan blade tips. The fan should also be mounted at least thirty (30) inches from walls or other upright structures.
4. Make sure the outlet box and ceiling support joist used are securely mounted and capable of supporting at least 100 pounds. Use the mounting screws provided with the outlet box. The box must be supported directly by the building structure.
5. Ensure that the outlet box is marked "acceptable for fan support" and use the provided mounting screws. If the current outlet box is not suitable for fan support, consult a qualified electrician for replacement.
6. Refer to the electrical diagrams for reference. Light kits that are not packed with the fan must be UL listed and marked suitable for use with the model fan being installed. Use UL general use switches.
7. After installation is complete, check that all connections are secure.
8. After making electrical connections, turn the spliced conductors upward and push them carefully into the outlet box. Spread the wires apart with the grounded conductor and the equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the outlet box.
9. Do not use a solid-state fan speed control device or rheostat with this fan to reduce the risk of electrical shock and fire.
10. Do not separate the reverse switch until the fan has come to a complete stop.
11. Do not insert anything into the fan blades while they are rotating.
12. Avoid bending the blade brackets during assembly or after installation. Do not insert objects in the path of the blades.
13. Be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan to avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other items.
14. Use a dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth for cleaning the fan or fan blades. Do not use water or detergent.
15. Follow all safety precautions and instructions in the manual, and exercise common sense and caution during installation and operation.
