To set the time delay on the Eltako AVZ12DX-UC Analogue Settable Time Relay, follow these steps:
1. Identify the function rotary switches on the device. There is a big rotary switch and two latching rotary switches labeled T and xT.
2. The LED below the big rotary switch indicates the contact position during the time-out period. It blinks when the relay contact 15-18 is open (15-16 closed) and remains continuously ON when the relay contact 15-18 is closed (15-16 open).
3. Select the desired time base (T) by turning the middle latching rotary switch. The available time-base options are 0.1 seconds, 0.5 seconds, 2 seconds, 5 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, and 4 hours.
4. Set the multiplier (xT) on the upper latching rotary switch. The multiplier ranges from 1 to 10. The total time delay is obtained by multiplying the time base by the multiplier. For example, if the time base is set to 2 minutes (T) and the multiplier is set to 5 (xT), the total time delay will be 10 minutes.
5. The maximum load can be used starting at a delay time or clock cycle of 5 minutes. For shorter times, the maximum load will be reduced as follows: up to 2 seconds - 15%, up to 2 minutes - 30%, up to 5 minutes - 60%.
6. Once you have set the desired time delay, the relay contact will change to 15-18 after the timing period elapses. If there is an interruption, the timing period will restart.
Please note that only skilled electricians should install this electrical equipment to avoid the risk of fire or electric shock. It is also important to follow the temperature and humidity guidelines mentioned in the manual for proper operation.
