To install the ELCO Lighting ELS531KW 5 Inch Sloped Adjustable Reflector in a sloped ceiling, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have the compatible housing, either EL518ICA or EL518RICA, as mentioned in the technical details.
2. Make sure the power to the circuit is turned off before starting the installation.
3. Determine the desired location for the fixture in the sloped ceiling.
4. Cut a hole in the ceiling according to the dimensions specified in the product manual. The dimensions may vary depending on the specific housing used.
5. Connect the fixture's socket bracket trim to the compatible housing using the provided clips. This will secure the trim into the housing and keep the ring flush with the ceiling.
6. Insert the appropriate lamp, either a 75W MAX PAR30 or LED, into the socket of the fixture.
7. Once the lamp is securely in place, adjust the reflector to the desired angle. The ELCO Slant feature allows for installation in sloped ceilings ranging from 2/12 (10°) to 12/12 (45°).
8. Finally, turn on the power and test the fixture to ensure it is functioning properly.
