According to the user manual, the RTI Series Bookshelf Loudspeakers should be placed to create an equilateral triangle between the speakers and your favorite listening position. This means positioning the speakers so that they are an equal distance apart from each other and from your listening position. If you need to place the speakers farther apart, you can angle them toward the middle to support a more solid center image. If you are using the speakers as rear channels in a home theater system, they should be placed on the rear or side walls, slightly above and behind the listening position.
