To connect the BIC V1020 subwoofer to your receiver, you have two options depending on the type of connections available on your receiver.
1. Amplifier/Speaker Hookup (Method A):
- If your receiver does not have a dedicated subwoofer output or LFE output, you will need to use this method.
- Use speaker wire to connect the "FROM RECEIVER" terminals on the back of the V1020 to your receiver's speaker terminals.
- Connect your main speakers to the "OUT TO SPEAKERS" terminals on the V1020.
- Make sure to maintain proper polarity by connecting the positive (+) wire to the positive terminal and the negative (-) wire to the negative terminal on both the V1020 and your receiver.
2. Line Level Hookup (Method B):
- If your receiver has a subwoofer or LFE output, you can use this method for a cleaner connection.
- Use an RCA cable to connect the subwoofer or LFE output on your receiver to the "SUB IN" input on the V1020.
- Connect your main speakers to your receiver as usual.
Remember to set the appropriate settings on your receiver, such as enabling the subwoofer output or setting the crossover frequency, to ensure proper integration with the V1020. Refer to your receiver's manual for specific instructions on these settings.
