To connect your Optoma EX530 DLP Projector to your laptop, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that both your projector and laptop are turned off.
2. Locate the VGA or HDMI port on your laptop. The VGA port is usually blue and has 15 pins, while the HDMI port is rectangular and has a smaller size.
3. Connect one end of the VGA or HDMI cable to the corresponding port on your laptop.
4. Locate the VGA or HDMI input port on the back of your projector. It should be labeled as "Computer In" or "HDMI In."
5. Connect the other end of the cable to the VGA or HDMI input port on your projector.
6. Turn on your projector and laptop.
7. On your laptop, press the appropriate key combination (e.g., Fn + F4 or Fn + F8) to switch the display output to the external projector. Refer to your laptop's user manual for the specific key combination.
8. The projector should detect the laptop's signal and display the laptop's screen. If not, press the "Source" or "Input" button on the projector's remote control or control panel to manually select the input source.
