To set up the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Colour 5-in-1 Complete WeatherStation, follow these steps:
1. Start by placing the base station indoors in a convenient location. Make sure it is within range of the outdoor sensor suite (up to 150 meters line of sight).
2. Insert the back-up battery (1 x 3V CR2032, not included) into the base station to retain settings in case of power failure.
3. Connect the power adaptor (included) to the base station and plug it into a mains power outlet.
4. Next, install the outdoor sensor suite. Choose a suitable location outdoors, away from direct sunlight and rain, and at least 1.5 meters above the ground.
5. Insert three AA batteries (not included) into the outdoor sensor suite. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) when inserting the batteries.
6. Wait for the base station and outdoor sensor suite to establish a wireless connection. This may take a few minutes.
7. Once the connection is established, the base station will start displaying the current weather data from the outdoor sensor suite.
8. You can now customize the settings and preferences of the weather station using the buttons on the base station. Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions on how to navigate the menu and adjust settings.
Note: It is recommended to register your product online to activate the 5-year warranty. Visit the manufacturer's website for registration information.
