To connect the Brookstone BKSRGBSTRP Smart LED Strip Light to your Wi-Fi network, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your phone is connected to your Wi-Fi network, which should be a 2.4GHz network. Also, ensure that Bluetooth is turned on in your phone settings.
2. Plug in the LED Strip into a USB port that has power. If the lights start blinking fast, they are in set up mode. If they are not blinking fast, press and hold the on/off button down for 5-7 seconds and let go. The lights should then start to blink fast, indicating that they are in set up mode.
3. Open the "Brookstone Smart" app on your smartphone.
4. Register and login to the app.
5. From the home screen of the app, press the (+) symbol in the top right corner.
6. A pop-up window will appear asking to add the LED Strip. Press "Go to add". On the next screen, click on the (+) icon.
7. Make sure your phone is connected to the Wi-Fi network that the device will be connected to. Enter your password for the correct Wi-Fi network and press confirm.
8. The connecting process will begin. Do not turn off or unplug the LED Strip or your phone while connecting. Wait for the connection process to complete.
9. Once the device has been successfully added, you can name the device whatever you would like it to be called in the app. The LED Strip is now ready for use.
