To install the KUFATEC 40665 Complete Set Active Sound incl. Soundbooster, please follow the assembly instructions provided in the manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Remove the carpet in the passenger’s footwell and the trim panel below the dashboard and a-pillar at the bottom.
2. Connect the Can wires with the white plug of the comfort control unit below the dashboard at the a-pillar. Connect Can High (black/white) to Pin 36 (blue/red) and Can Low (black/yellow) to Pin 35 (red). Insulate the wires with insulating tape.
3. Connect the ground cable (brown) in the passenger’s footwell.
4. Connect the wire for ignition plus (red/white) with the yellow/green wire of the cable harness at the fuse carrier in the trunk. Insulate the connection point and protect the wire with 7.5A. Check the correct connection to ignition plus with a voltmeter.
5. Install the two control units in the area of the right a-pillar below the dashboard.
6. Route the cable on the passenger’s side under the sill trim and behind the b-pillar.
7. Route the wires below the rear seatback, along the rear right wheel housing, into the trunk.
8. Route the wires to the driver’s side below the trunk floor covering and behind the left side trim panel.
9. Guide the cable behind the left side trim panel, through an existing grommet, outwards. Ensure waterproofing.
10. Remove the trim panel of the underbody rear left and make an opening.
11. Install the sound generator at the hold point for the exhaust silencer and orientate it before tightening the fixing xxxx .
12. Connect the external sound generator with the routed cable and attach the cable with cable ties.
13. Use the delivered steel cable and retaining clips to tighten the Sound Booster and secure it at a suitable position in the car.
14. Route the wire of the pushbutton for the switch of the sound profiles from the passenger’s footwell behind the center console into the driver’s footwell. Install the pushbutton below the dashboard at a non-visible position.
15. Reassemble the removed parts in reverse order.
