To connect the KUFATEC Jaguar F-Pace 2.0 D Original Sound Booster Active Module to your car, please follow the instructions provided in the manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Begin by disassembling the trim parts on the passenger's side of the car. This involves removing the front and rear door sills and the lateral covering of the dashboard. Refer to Table 2 in the manual for detailed instructions.
2. Next, connect the control unit of the module to the BCM (Body Control Module), ignition plus, and ground. The control unit should be fastened underneath the fuse carrier at the dashboard. Remove the light green plug and connect the Can high and Can low lines to the corresponding pins (pin 9 for Can high and pin 8 for Can low). If your cable set consists of grey wires exclusively, connect the cables according to the inscription at the end of the wires. Connect the red-white line for ignition plus to the marked red cable and secure the ground cable under the carpet in the passenger's footwell using a xxxx . Refer to Table 3 for detailed instructions.
3. Route the cable from the control module at the A-pillar on the passenger's side along the front and rear door sills, and forward until it reaches the trunk. Pull the cable out in the trunk area. Then, route the cable behind the side trim on the passenger's side until the marked rubber grommet. Pass the cable through the rubber grommet to the outside. Refer to Table 4 for detailed instructions.
4. Install the sound generator of the module. Use suitable high tensile screws to fix the sound generator in place, ensuring that they are properly secured to prevent loosening due to vibration. It is recommended to use threadlock or similar material to secure the screws. Regularly check the stability of the sound generator and retighten the screws if necessary. Additionally, use the delivered steel cable and retaining clips to provide additional security by tightening them on the sound generator and at a suitable position in the car. Refer to Table 5 for important information and instructions on the installation of the sound generator.
5. Finally, if the system does not work after installation, you may need to use the Sound Booster Software for PC/Mac to debug and configure the module. Download the software from the provided link and connect your PC/Mac to the module using a USB cable. Follow the instructions in Table 6 for further commissioning and debugging.
