To install and set up the CONCEPTRONIC POR-1311 Outdoor Gigabit PoE Repeater, please follow these steps:
1. Mounting: Use the included mounting kit to securely mount the repeater in a suitable outdoor location. Ensure that the mounting surface is stable and can support the weight of the repeater.
2. Connection: Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the "PoE In" port of the repeater and the other end to a PoE-PlusPlus switch or Power Sending Equipment (PSE). Make sure the switch/PSE is powered on.
3. Daisy Chaining (optional): If you want to extend the range further, you can daisy chain multiple PoE repeaters. To do this, connect an Ethernet cable from the "PoE Out" port of the first repeater to the "PoE In" port of the next repeater. Repeat this process for each additional repeater.
4. Powering the remote device: Connect the remote device (e.g., PoE IP Camera) to the Ethernet port of the repeater using another Ethernet cable. The repeater will forward the Power over Ethernet (PoE) to the remote device, eliminating the need for an additional power supply.
5. Verification: Once all connections are made, verify that the repeater is receiving power and the remote device is functioning properly.
