To properly connect the high-pressure hose to the KARCHER K 3 Power Control Perfect Pressure Washer, follow these steps:
1. Locate the flat areas on the high-pressure hose connectors and the spray gun connection. These flat areas are indicated with red arrows in the instruction manual.
2. Begin to insert the hose into the spray gun, ensuring that the flat edges on the hose and spray gun are aligned. Push the hose into the spray gun connector until you encounter resistance. The hose should be inserted as far as shown in the manual.
3. If the connector only inserts partially and the flat areas are not properly aligned, rotate the hose until they are aligned and repeat step 2. Note that the flat areas of the hose connector should be facing the front and back of the spray gun, not the sides.
4. Once the flat edges are aligned, firmly push the hose into the spray gun connector using both thumbs. Apply sufficient force to fully lock the hose into place. You should hear an audible click when the hose is properly seated.
5. Gently tug on the hose to ensure it doesn't easily slide out. Examine the hose connector to make sure it is completely inserted. The entire hose connection should be seated inside the spray gun. If the hose connection is still visible, the hose is not properly attached and may result in leaking and weak pressure.
6. Repeat the same process to insert the other end of the hose into the water outlet on the pressure washer. Align the flat areas on the hose connection with the flat areas of the water outlet and push firmly to fully connect the hose. You should hear a click as the hose properly seats.
If you have followed these steps and still experience any leaks or weak pressure, please contact the KARCHER customer care team at 800-537-4129 or visit their website at karcher-help.com for further assistance.
