To install the level one 187321 Cat.7 S-FTP Installation Cable, please follow the steps below:
1. Prepare the necessary tools: You will need a cable stripper, crimping tool, and RJ-45 connectors.
2. Measure and cut the cable: Determine the required length for your installation and cut the cable accordingly. Make sure to leave some extra length for any adjustments or mistakes.
3. Strip the cable: Use the cable stripper to remove about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of the outer jacket from each end of the cable. Be careful not to damage the inner wires.
4. Separate the pairs: Inside the cable, you will find four twisted pairs of wires. Carefully separate each pair from the others, making sure they remain twisted.
5. Straighten and arrange the wires: Straighten each wire within the pair and arrange them according to the T568B or T568A wiring standard. Make sure to maintain the correct order for proper connectivity.
6. Trim the wires: Trim the excess wire length to ensure they are all even and fit properly into the RJ-45 connector.
7. Insert the wires into the connector: Insert the wires into the RJ-45 connector, following the correct pinout sequence. Double-check that each wire is fully inserted and reaches the end of the connector.
8. Crimp the connector: Use the crimping tool to firmly crimp the connector onto the cable. Apply enough pressure to ensure a secure connection.
9. Repeat for the other end: Repeat steps 3 to 8 for the other end of the cable, ensuring consistency in the wiring sequence.
10. Test the connection: Once both ends are terminated, use a cable tester to verify the connectivity and ensure there are no wiring faults.
