To install and set up the LevelOne POR-0311 Gigabit PoE Repeater, please follow the steps below:
1. Ensure that you have the necessary equipment: LevelOne POR-0311 Gigabit PoE Repeater, PoE devices (such as IP cameras or access points), Ethernet cables.
2. Determine the optimal location for the repeater. It should be placed within the range of the Power Sending Equipment (PSE) and the remote PoE device.
3. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the PoE Out port of the PSE (e.g., PoE switch) and the other end to the PoE In port of the POR-0311 repeater.
4. Connect another Ethernet cable from the PoE Out port of the repeater to the PoE In port of the remote PoE device.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 if you want to daisy chain multiple repeaters to extend the range further.
6. Ensure that all connections are secure and properly plugged in.
7. Power on the PSE and the remote PoE device.
8. The POR-0311 repeater does not require any additional power supply as it receives power from the PSE.
9. The repeater will automatically forward the Power over Ethernet (PoE) to the remote PoE device, extending the PoE connection for another 100 meters.
10. The POR-0311 repeater has indicators for POE In and POE Out Link, which will show the status of the PoE connection.
11. Once the installation is complete, you can verify the connection by checking if the remote PoE device is receiving power and functioning properly.
